Students at Valley High School can expect to see an increased police presence today. New Kensington-Arnold Superintendent Chris Sefcheck says additional officers will be patrolling the property as authorities continue to investigate a shooting involving juveniles that happened about a mile from the school after classes let out on Tuesday. Police have not reported any injuries and Sefcheck says no students or staff who were at the school were ever threatened. The additional patrols are meant to keep any potential conflict from carrying over to school property, according to the superintendent. Officers will also be increasing security for the Valley High homecoming events happening this weekend, including tonight’s parade.
