A woman has entered into a plea deal to avoid going to trial on attempted murder charges following an incident in East Huntingdon. Investigators say that 28-year-old Kristen Kruel and two friends were asked to leave a house party in 2022 and that, during an ensuing fight, she handed a firearm to one of the friends and told him to shoot. The weapon later fell to the floor and went off. No one was shot but, during the fight, a man was injured. Attempted murder charges against Kruel were dropped yesterday and she was sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty of theft, receiving stolen property and tampering with evidence.
