WESTMORELAND COUNTY MAIL-IN BALLOTS SENT THIS WEEK

Westmoreland County voters who requested mail-in ballots may start to receive them this weekend.  The Trib reports that over 42,000 mail-in ballots were sent out this week, and those ballots are expected to arrive as early as Saturday.  Those who have yet to apply can do so at the courthouse, which, since Monday, has started same-day voting. On Thursday, the County Commissioners approved extending office hours for the election bureau starting Tuesday.  The office will be open 8-7 Weekdays and 9-3 on Weekends through November 4th, with the courthouse office open 7 am to 8 pm on Election day.
