A Westmoreland County judge on Tuesday rejected a prosecutor’s argument that a man found guilty of attempted sexual assault cannot be rehabilitated. Brandon Pyle of Delmont was convicted in June in connection with a November 2022 incident in which he tried to forcibly assault a woman. Prosecutors told the court that Pyle had a long history of being abusive with women and they urged the judge to give him a long sentence. Pyle faced up to 20 years in prison and yesterday was sentenced to two-and-a-half to five years.
