Two people and a dog were rescued from a burning home in Unity Township Tuesday night. The Trib reports that fire crews were called out to the home on Dos Drive in the village of Marguerite at 9:15 PM. Fire officials say the two had to escape off a front porch that was enclosed by a railing. A neighbor helped break the railing. Schultheis said the fire appeared to have started in a rear area on the home’s first floor, where flames caused extensive damage. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross is helping the two who lived there. State police fire marshals were called in to investigate.
