Jeannette City Council is looking for someone to take the place of Chad Krawtz, who submitted his resignation effective immediately on Sunday. The Trib reports that Krawtz was appointed to fill a vacancy in 2022 created by the death of Ron Smith. That term ended in December and he ran unopposed in 2023, winning a new four-year term. No word on why he is resigning. Letters of interest will be accepted until November 13th and council would likely choose a new member on the 14th. Letters of interest for the vacant seat can be emailed to ekeedy@cityofjnt.com, mailed to city hall at 110 S. Second St. or dropped off there between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
