A Monessen woman was ordered to serve two years of probation for what police called an assault on an unborn child. The Trib reports that 18-year-old Brooke Linn was charged with aggravated assault of an unborn child, simple assault and reckless endangerment for an incident on September 10th in which a woman who was five months pregnant was kicked in the stomach following a verbal argument that turned physical. Linn was admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first time offenders, which allows her criminal record to be expunged upon successful completion of the probation term. She was not required to plead guilty to the offenses.
