EIGHT GUARDIAN ELDER CARE FACILITIES SOLD

Eight Guardian Elder Care facilities, including locations in Lower Burrell and Hempfield’s Oak Hill neighborhood, will be sold to GBK Eight LLC in a transaction approved in Federal Bankruptcy court.  The Trib reports that The sale is expected to close in the near future. The transfer of operations for the leased facilities was completed Tuesday.  All of the facilities remain open, Guardian officials said. The Johnstown-based healthcare company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last summer.
