WESTMORELAND COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WORKING ON BUDGET

Westmoreland County Commissioners are holding the line on property taxes.  The Trib reports that County Commissioners approved advertising the 2025 budget yesterday.  It comes to $412 million, and while there is an 8% increase in spending, it will use reserves to cover a projected deficit of $32 million.  The commissioners plan to continue to work on the budget between now and December when it will go up for final approval.
