WESTMORELAND COUNTY GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS NOW OFFICIAL

The general election results for Westmoreland County are now official.  The Trib reports that the county election board officially certified the results of the election on Monday.  This includes the results of the Senate Race between Bob Casey and Dave McCormick.  That race was so close across the state that it triggered an automatic recount, which was aborted late last week when Casey conceded the race.  82.2% of the county’s registered voters cast a ballot in the General Election, Republican candidates swept the ballot in Westmoreland County, including races for two U.S. Congressional seats as well as seats in the state House and Senate and state row offices.
