NEW LEGION-KEENER PARK SIGN UNVEILED

A new sign was unveiled to help point the way to Legion-Keener Park in Latrobe. The Trib reports that the sign is located near the intersection of Jefferson and Chestnut Streets. Since the park’s many amenities aren’t visible from Jefferson Street, according to Latrobe Mayor Eric Bartels. He added that those not familiar with the recreational site may have driven past the access point unaware of the park. The sign joins other adjacent improvements along Chestnut Street, including a pedestrian walkway leading toward the park, a row of lighted bollards and nine new trees that have been planted there.
