DELMONT LOWERING SPEED LIMIT ON ATHENA DRIVE

Delmont will officially lower the speed limit of Athena Drive from 35 miles an hour to 25. The Trib reports that many citizens in the borough complained of speeding along a stretch of Athena from Freeport Street to the borough line. The vote was 6-1 with Council President Andy Shissler voting no, saying he heard from some who were against the change.
