WESTMORELAND COUNTY LOOKING INTO ADDING A NEW CONVENTION CENTER

Business leaders in Westmoreland County are looking into adding a new convention center. Yesterday, the county’s Chamber of Commerce announced plans to invest 25-thousand dollars into a feasibility study for the potential project. Hotel consulting firm CBRE will be examining several sites along the Route 30 corridor to determine where a hotel and an event space might thrive. The study is expected to take between five and seven weeks.
