RECOVERY EFFORTS IN UNITY TOWNSHIP

Last night, the rescue efforts for a woman who is believed to be trapped in a sinkhole in Unity turned into recovery efforts as first responders believe the chances of finding her alive are now slim.  The Trib reports that the operations have moved to a dawn-to-dusk operation after two days of non-stop efforts to find Elizabeth Pollard, who is believed to have fallen through a sinkhole from an abandoned mine.  Conditions became too dangerous to send people down there.
