CORONER CONFIRMS DEATH OF UNITY TOWNSHIP WOMAN

Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson has confirmed that the Unity woman who fell through a sinkhole has died.  WTAE-TV Reports that the body of Elizabeth Pollard was found this morning after crews searched the sinkhole and abandoned mine behind Monday’s Union Restaurant for the past four days.  Yesterday, crews brought excavators and and today, drills were brought in to help with the search efforts.  Officials say she was looking for a missing cat when she fell into the sinkhole Monday nightand fell into the mine shaft.
