The family of a woman who fell into a sinkhole in Unity Township earlier this week is holding out hope that she may still be alive. The Trib reports that the family of Elizabeth Pollard spoke with the media yesterday. Her niece Tabitha said that Elizabeth’s husband and son are still hoping for the best. Elizabeth is believed to have fallen through a sinkhole in a grassy area behind Monday’s Union Restaurant. Wednesday, search and rescue efforts were changed to search and recovery. Investigators believe they are now close to where she fell in.
