UPPER BURRELL FIRE HYDRANT FEES TO GO UP

Citizens in Upper Burrell Township will pay a bit more in fire hydrant fees next year.  The Trib reports that this is part of the 2025 budget.  Property taxes held steady, but the hydrant fee went up by 0.01 mills to offset cost increases from the Municipal Authority of the City of New Kensington.  The increase is expected to be between $1 and $7, but properties already paying the $40 maximum will not see an increase.
