NORVELT DEDICATES NEW FIRE STATION

Norvelt Fire Department dedicated its new station on Sunday.  The Trib reports that the new station is along Mt. Pleasant Road, diagonally opposite the road from the old station and the organization’s Roosevelt Hall social hall.  The new station has wider bays for the fire trucks Among the improved features of the new station are separate areas housing the fire chief’s office and a radio room, with added computer technology, along with new ventilation systems to draw exhaust fumes away from trucks as they sit running in the station.
