MAN CONVICTED OF KIDNAPPING AND ROBBERY SENTENCED

A man convicted of kidnapping and robbery earlier this year was sentenced last Thursday to five to ten years in prison.  KDKA-TV reports that 41-year-old Steven Best was accused of kidnapping a woman in 2022 after the two met online.  He forced the woman to stay in his basement for several hours before he eventually released her.  The jury found him not guilty of simple assault.
