A Herminie man was charged with arson in connection with a fire in September at his home. The Trib reports that 50-year-old Timothy Gillin was arrested last week on arson and other crimes related to the fire at a home on Sewickley Avenue on September 26th. A state police fire marshal said that he was involved in an argument with three others when he retrieved a gas can, poured the contents on kitchen cabinets and lit it on fire. One person had to be rescued from a second floor bedroom and three others were able to make it out on their own. Gillin is free on $25,000 unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 23.
