At least two guns were stolen in a string of overnight thefts in New Kensington. The Trib reports that residents in the area across seventh street from New Kensington’s Mt. Vernon neighborhood said three men are involved in the thefts that have happened between 1:30 and 4:30 in the morning. A Glock .45-caliber pistol and a nickel-plated .38-caliber Derringer pistol were among items stolen from Wood Street resident Andrew Sieminski’s vehicle on Dec. 9, he said through a family member. Money and other items were stolen from other vehicles. Residents are advised to keep their cars locked, and patrols have increased in the area.
