Westmoreland County officials want to have a new leadership team for the election bureau in place in time for the May primary election. The Trib reports that former director Greg McCloskey retired in December, and county commissioners are looking at a retooling of the entire department. Right now, the county is seeking applications for a deputy director, and they plan on making a seperate job post for the director’s job sometime this season. Scott Ross, the county director of computer information systems, will continue to serve as interim director until a permanent replacement is hired.
