A Norwin School Board Director who sued the district has revised his federal lawsuit that claims his right to free speech was violated. The Trib reports that the lawsuit filed by Alex Detschelt was related to criticism by the district and a former superintendent of a post he made on social media that contained a meme using a sexually explicit term and a derisive term for a mentally ill person. He claimed that the district retaliated by sending an email to district residents, faculty and staff, and as the result, he was the target of threats on social media, and the media coverage has unfairly impacted his ability to present himself for reelection.
