A forensic pathologist has ruled that the death of a Ligonier woman whose remains were found in Cook Township was a homicide. The Trib reports that 45-year-old Amy Shipley was reported missing on September 13th, and her remains were found September 17th in a makeshift grave on a residential property along Helens Lane. After autopsy and toxicology exams were performed, forensic pathologist Jennifer Hammers declared that Shipley died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries, and that she died in her home on September 8th before she was taken to Helens Lane and buried.
