DEFENSE ATTORNEY EVALUATING WHETHER NEW FLORANCE WOMAN CAN BE HELD CRIMINALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING

The defense attorney for a New Florence woman is evaluating whether his client can be held criminally responsible for the killing of her mother last year.  The Trib reports that Melissa Fox-Beacom killed 71-year-old Alice Robson in her St. Clair home in December of 2023.  Fox-Becaom’s lawyer said that questions remain about his client’s mental state at the time to see if it is a viable defense.
