Three people were hurt in an apparent explosion at a plant in Lower Burrell yesterday. WTAE-TV reports that the incident was reported at the Braeburn Alloy Steel location on Braeburn Road just before noon. Two people were in critical condition, while a third has non-life-threatening injuries. No fire was reported. Michael Grubach, a senior vice president with Electralloy G.O. Carlson, which owns Braeburn Alloy Steel, said the company is aware of the incident and it is under investigation. Grubach could not provide any other comment at this time.
