Officials in North Huntingdon Township have rejected a subdivision plan to build about 50 houses in a section of the Altman Farms neighborhood. The Tirb reports that township commissioners said the additional traffic and the layout of the plan would create unsafe conditions in the area. About a half-dozen residents complained about the plan prior to the meeting this week. It is expected that the developers, Maronda Homes, will appeal the decision.
