Arnold Palmer Regional Airport is continuing to lose money annually. The Trib reports that the airport finished 2024 about $600,000 in the red, and continues to lose $15,000 a month with a limited flight schedule, including Spirit Airlines. Just over 150,000 passengers flew in and out of the facility in 2023, and 145,000 did last year. A $22 million passenger terminal overhaul has started as well. Spirit spokesman Tom Fletcher, in an email, said the airline remains committed to Arnold Palmer Regional.
