The 50-thousand chickens that tested positive for bird flu in Lehigh County are being euthanized. The outbreak was reported by state officials Monday at a poultry farm in Lynn Township. The Agriculture Department says nearby farms were quarantined as well in an attempt to stop the flu from spreading to other flocks. Health officials say the public health risk is low, but individuals are urged to take precautions.
