LOWER BURRELL MAN AVOIDS PRISON

A Lower Burrell man is avoiding prison after pleading guilty to federal fraud charges.  Prosecutors say that 44-year-old Jonathan Fry applied for credit cards and opened accounts in a neighbor’s name and made unauthorized purchases between November of 2018 and November of 2019.  Fry made tens of thousands of dollars in purchases on those cards.  He was sentenced yesterday to three years of probation.
