MAN HITS TREE IN TURNPIKE CRASH

A man was taken to the hospital after he hit a tree with his car along a portion of the PA Turnpike in Penn Township yesterday.  The Trib reports that the crash happened around 8:20 AM near Mile Marker 60 of the toll road.  The car went off the road, plowed through a fence then hit a tree before it overturned.  The driver had to be rescued from his vehicle and was taken to Forbes trauma center, where he is in stable condition.
