Defense attorneys for the two instructional aides at an elementary school in the Greensburg-Salem School District said the two were following the directions of teachers in the classroom when they allegedly mistreated three special needs students. The Trib reports that Lorraine Robertson of Greensburg and Amanda Lehman of South Greensburg were accused of child endangerment and failure to report, while a third defendant, Derek J. Hines of Hempfield, waived his right to a hearing. Three other people are accused of varying levels of involvement in what police described as assault and mistreatment of the three children, ages 8, 7 and 6. The charges against Robertson and Lehman were held for further prosecution.
