A Clairton man was arrested as part of a drug sting in West Newton earlier this month. The Trib reports that 28-year-old Ismail Hamlin faces numerous drug and weapons charges in Westmoreland and Allegheny Counties along with a charge of dealing in the proceeds of unlawful acts. Police said he sold 160 bricks of drugs to a confidential informant in West Newton and took $30,750 to settle drug debts. A search warrant served last week at Hamlin’s home turned up hundreds of bricks of fentanyl, five guns, ammo, and nearly $20,000. Preliminary hearings are set for next Tuesday in Allegheny County, and February 10th in Westmoreland County.
