A Maryland man is charged with credit card fraud after he used a card belonging to the Richmond, Virginia Redevelopment and Housing Authority to book a hotel in Unity Township. The Trib reports that 47-year-old Patrick Rooney tried to book two rooms for seven days at the Springhill Suites using a different last name a couple of hours after he and his son Thomas O. Rooney reportedly came in contact with Hempfield police. Thomas is accused of pretending to be a Pittsburgh Police Officer after a resident refused to open their door as Thomas and Patrick tried to peddle gravel for driveways. A preliminary hearing is set for Monday for Patrick Rooney.
