Officials with West Penn Power were in front of a House Majority Policy Committee last night in Fox Chapel concerning the power outage late last month that went on for several days. The Trib reports that while their crews and crews from other states did the best they could to restore power, representatives said there was room for improvement in storm response. The hearing was hosted by State Representative Mandy Steele of Fox Chapel. West Penn Power’s Greensburg area director of operations Abe Amawi said they are looking into its response and plan to make adjustments.
