PENNDOT TO ADDRESS PROBLEMS WITH HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP RAMP ON ROUTE 30

PennDOT plans to address problems with a ramp in Hempfield Township with some construction.  KDKA-TV reports that the Route 30 Cedar Street exit ramp is the focus of some efforts from PennDOT District 12.  The area sees about four crashes a year on average.  Among the improvements are upgraded and additional signs in the area, pavement markings to show a bend in the ramp, and high-friction surfaces to get people to slow down.  The improvements are expected to start this fall.
