The trial for a Unity man on charges connected to the disappearance of Casandra Gross has been delayed. The Trib reports that the homicide trial of Thomas Stanko is on hold for another two months as Judge Michael Stewart wants more time to work through pre-trial issues. Prosecutors claim that he killed Gross in April of 2018. He had been identified as a person of interest since her disappearance. Court documents showed that Stanko has argued for dismissal because there is no evidence that she is dead or that a crime had been committed, but a judge ruled there was enough circumstantial evidence for a trial to move forward.
