HEMPFIELD SCHOOL BOARD TO TRY TO COVER BUDGET DEFECIT

The Hempfield School Board will try to cover a $172,000 budget deficit in the 2025-26 budget.  The Trib reports that the school board last night held its final public hearing on the $114.5 million budget.  The board previously approved the preliminary budget that contained a 4.35-mil tax increase, which covers about $2.6 million of a $2.8 million debt.  The district will vote on the final budget later this month.
