The people behind a historic Salem park are looking for some donations to help offset costs of repairs. The Trib reports that during the April 29th storms, one of the shelters at Fairview Park was destroyed, some of the older trees in the park were sheared and roofing came off some of the other shelters at the park off Old William Penn Highway. The Fairview Park Association has received some volunteer assistance to help clean things up, but officials say there is still work that needs to be done before the park’s 80th anniversary celebration at their Old Fashioned Picnic in August.
