TESTIMONY CONTINUES FOR MAN ACCUSED OF LEADING POLICE CHASE

Testimony continued yesterday in the trial of Bruce Alvarado, who is accused of leading police on a chase through Westmoreland and Allegheny counties, then shooting at an officer.  The Trib reports that Amber Barkhamer, a passenger in Alvarado’s Jeep, took the stand yesterday and testified about what happened during the pursuit on November 10th of 2023.  Jurors also watched bodycam footage of several officers involved in the pursuit.  Forensics experts are expected to take the stand today.
