The Westmoreland County Airport Authority is getting ready for the 100th anniversary of the Shop n Save International Airshow at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport. The Trib reports that the feature attraction this year will be the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds jet team. This came after authority officials initially could not find a headlining act, and were going to reduce the celebration to a one-day open house in September, but in February, the Snowbirds’ scheduled appearance at a Michigan air show was cancelled, and the authority was able to book them for the weekend of June 21st. Officials expect as many as 50,000 spectators for the event.
