A new mother is facing charges. The Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau received a report earlier this year that Arnold resident Ariana Carter was exposing her infant to illegal drugs. In an April test, the baby came back positive for having methamphetamines in its system. In a May test, the baby came back positive for having methamphetamines and THC in its system. After reportedly finding drug paraphernalia in Carter’s home last month, authorities have now charged the woman with endangering the welfare of a child and taken custody of the baby.
