ARRAIGNMENT HEARING SCHEDULED FOR FUNERAL HOME DIRECTOR

An arraignment hearing is scheduled for next Wednesday for a funeral home director accused of allegedly discarding animal remains in a landfill.  The Trib reports that 70-year-old Patrick Vereb is the owner of funeral homes and pet crematoriums in Harrison and Pittsburgh.  In April, he was officially accused of improperly disposing of pets that he cremated and giving people the wrong animal remains.  The arraignment hearing will be in Allegheny County Court at 2:00 PM Wednesday.
