STATE COLLEGE MAN DIES AT OHIOPYLE STATE PARK

A state college man died while Kayaking Friday night in Ohiopyle State Park.  The Trib reports that the Fayette County Coroner identified the victim as 43-year-old Michael Barney.  He had been kayaking with friends on the lower section of the Yougigheny River when he got stuck in a  rapid along the waterway.  Attempts to rescue him were unsuccessful and the cornroer ruled his death by drowning an accident.
