GREATER LATROBE SCHOOL BOARD APPROVES BUDGET

The Latrobe School Board approved the 2025-26 budget last night, which will include a one-mill tax increase.  The Trib reports that Business Administrator Dan Watson had recommended a two-mill tax increase to not only cover any budget gaps, but to prepare for future capital projects.  The vote for the one-mill increase was 7-2.  Several board members who supported the 1-mill hike said it should allow the district to proceed with replacement of the junior high roof.
