TWO HEAT ADVISORIES TODAY

Westmoreland County is under two heat-related advisories today.  The National Weather Service has an ongoing extreme heat warning for most of the county until 8 PM Wednesday, while the Southeast edge of the county is under a heat advisory for that same time period.  People are advised to keep hydrated and stay in air-conditioned environments.  Also, if you are going out, wear lighter colors and loose clothing.  The county is also under a code orange air quality action alert code until 4:00 today.  Sensitive groups will be affected by the amount of ozone in the atmosphere today, and are advised to limit outdoor activity.
