UNEXPECTED SHUTDOWNS AT DERRY COMMUNITY POOL

The Derry Community Pool has had some unexpected shutdowns due to a lack of lifeguards available.  The Trib reports that on Sunday, eighty people were at the pool, but with only two lifeguards, the decision was made to close for public safety.  The pool was also closed due to lack of lifeguards last Thursday and yesterday, with another closure expected today.  Work on hiring more lifeguards is underway.
