The Burrell School Board is approving a property tax hike as part of the district’s new budget. The board has passed an overall spending plan of nearly 37-and-a-half-million dollars with a tax increase of just under four-percent. School leaders need more funds to start paying off a ten-million-dollar bond for proposed infrastructure projects and additional security. Tax bills will go up by just over 100 dollars for homes at the district’s median assessed value of 23-thousand dollars.
