Westmoreland Couinty Commissioners yesterday accepted a grant from a Pittsburgh foundation to help plans for a centralized hub to house its human services program. The Trib reports that the presentation of the $500,000 grant from the Eden Hill foundation was made to the Commissioners at the county’s annual human services fair at Westmoreland County Community College. Officials say the money could help pay for the relocation of hundreds of employees and social service programs to one location. The grant is contingent on the county securing additional funding for the project.
