Two teens were returned to the Outside-In School and detention center in Wilpen Monday afternoon. KDKA-TV reports that the two broke out of the facility and stole a gun from an unlocked car over the weekend. Ligonier Valley Police Chief Mike Matrunics says they caught the two near Waterford late on Monday morning and recovered the gun. He is waiting word from State Police on whether or not all the runaways in this incident are accounted for. Matrunics said this is the latest in a string of runaway incidents at the facility with the kids going from a facility outside of his jurisdiction to towns that are. He said he wants to work with the facility on a notification system in case it happens again.
